Kura Raumati recently held their wānanga at Waiparapara Maraea in Tokomaru Bay. Kura Raumati is a summer internship programme for Māori tertiary health students to participate in a 9 -week summer internship, beginning with a week-long wānanga. Following this, students embark on research internships either within university settings or community-based Māori health organisations, finishing with a presentation of their findings to supervisors and their communities.


Kura Raumati is a component of Te Ara Poutama, a Hapori Māori-led Heart Health Research Programme which is funded by Putahi Manawa and Heart Foundation NZ
