New Zealand Conference Perth
Anna, Erina, and Mariana had the opportunity to attend the CSANZ Conference in Perth, an event brimming with insightful presentations and the latest in cardiovascular research. One of the standout moments for Erina was hearing from Professor Kaz Negishi, who delivered a thought-provoking talk on the link between air pollution and cardiovascular disease.
For Anna, the conference reaffirmed what many of us intuitively know— spending time in nature is a powerful boost for our heart health. New studies reveal that time in natural spaces not only reduces loneliness but also contributes to better overall well-being, even when lifestyle factors are accounted for.
Mariana took to the stage to present her research on equity in heart health, making a meaningful contribution to the ongoing conversation about improving access and outcomes in cardiovascular care. The conference is an annual event, hosted at different centres in Australia, with a visit to Aotearoa on occasion.
