Roadmap for achieving equity in cardiovascular health

Purpose:

The purpose of this Roadmap is to understand the research and practice environment in heart health to identify gaps which impact equity for Māori and Pacific. An examination of heart health researcher-initiated proposals funded by various health funders for the last 10 years was undertaken. In addition, key informants were held with whānau/aiga, Māori organisations (iwi, hapu, hauora, NGOs), and Pacific organisations (community trusts, church groups). The Roadmap is graphically designed and is a living, web-based resource which can be updated over time to reflect the shifting focus, and to track the progression toward equity.
