Purpose:
Reading the genetic code allows us to identify relevant genetic factors that affect the health of people but this can only be accurate if we understand the genetic codebook. Genetic codes have different spellings - the spelling used in the Pākehā and Asian codebooks means their genetic code is not as useful to us as a Māori one would be. We would like to describe the Māori genetic codebook in full.
